The story
An autofictional story about a prodigal son growing up, leaving the house, fighting with his parents and forgiving them as he inherits their estate, all the while a messenger of the gods watches over him.
The philosophy
Across all human history and multiple continents, the same pattern echoes: the young heir who leaves home in search of himself. Whether it’s the Prodigal Son abandoning his inheritance, Odysseus rising above trials to gain perspective, the Frog King Gangadatta fleeing court intrigue to find peace, or medieval wanderers walking free from earthly bonds—they all share the same journey. The choice isn’t return to the old life. It’s forgiveness, elevation or becoming something that flies higher than the conflict below, reclaiming what was lost through the moral authority of a transformed character. That’s the lesson: rise above, find your own way, and come home changed.
