Nine persons on morally ambigous journeys
Poliphilos (Greek: poli: many, philos: friend) is a Finnish indie pop artist.
“I’d like to think I create music like they used to: pop with clear structures, catchy hooks, and sing-alongable melodies.”
That’s layer one.
Layer two involves multiple references to cultural history: films, songs, opera, history, books, poems, computer games, and pop culture.
“They’re like the Easter eggs from the gaming world. How many can you find?”
There’s a deeper, philosophical layer three, too, for those who want to delve further.
“Meanwhile, each song is a universe of its own and in them I walk you through a movie script that’s full of cinematic action and twists.
My new album, “Player Characters,” is being currently released by June 2025, one single at a time.
