The last rays of warmth embrace me
And in that moment, from this soil
She has risen
Now to that soil she’s going back again
The bloom of the autumn, my returning friend
It’s not the end, the time we spent together
With my Last Rose of Summer
The honey bee is singing goodbye
In the last ray of autumn light
The last Summer Rose of mine
Will sleep away the winter time
The first hands of winter take her
And in that moment, under the snow
She’s freezing in again
From that freeze she will break out again
On her petal a drop of a tear
The Highland wind is blowing near the heather
And my Last Rose of Summer
The honey bee is singing goodbye
In the last rays of autumn light
The last Summer Rose of mine
Will sleep away the winter time

About
At last you can leave the world behind and embrace the untamed rhythm of the Scottish Highlands to find peace in the shifting seasons – a harmony born from surrendering to nature’s wild, uncontrollable beauty.
