Helsinki, 2025. Lumo Health was supposed to change the world — instead, it’s drowning in kombucha, Scrum ceremonies, and a CEO who used the word “journey” nine times in a single meeting before getting fired.

As an emergency protocol, an Ancient Manager is invoked from the company basement, a figure in absolute black who carries a thermometer, a chess set, and decades of institutional memory no one asked for. The seven millennial employees left to navigate crisis, complicity, and the meaning of craft uncover a pattern connecting their office politics to something much larger  — a war for human consciousness that has been fought in boardrooms for centuries.

Sharp, satirical, and unexpectedly tender, “I’ll Be Back” is a corporate fable about what survives when the org chart burns.
