A hero seeking out a mentor finds Poliphilos in his chaotic forest rave—a mirror of the capitalist world’s absurdity—and the hero realizes that the only one he can truly rely on is himself.
The philosophy
Party for the Poor & Betrayed is a theatrical alternative dance track that transforms a surreal forest rave into an immersive audio play. Blending disco grooves, electronic production and acted dialogue, Poliphilos follows a wandering hero searching for guidance, only to discover the only person worth trusting is himself. That may be our only alternative in our post-normal world where things we didn’t believe would happen have happened – and then some.
