Four brothers
drove away and stole the light
Her knowledge sat in their laps
begun her glow tonight
"We see it working for them
know it can be alright.
We go rest in peace, knowing
nothing about the crime"
Rise, eagles, from mountains
rise fathers with your children
mothers, bring your daughters
See what we're bringing, we're singing
Our night is now lightning
Our shows go again flaming
Bring in the clowns
We can lay down without laying down
Four daughters
hung up the stolen light
Her knowledge sat in their laps
begin their dance tonight
They see it working for them
know it'll be alright
We lay you to rest in peace,
knowing nothing about the crime
All dance under borrowed light
the heaven's brightest play
but perhaps there's no tomorrow
when the moon fades away?
Four pieces of silver
just guard it your whole life
you'll be the last one to survive
You hold your part
but no rest for the wicked
So hear the story of those
men who stole the light
As they took it to Underwurlde
the dead woke up to fight
If you rise against the gods,
Defy the heavens’ plan,
What belongs to the night sky
Is not for the hands of man

About
Four men from a perpetually dark land steal the moon from a neighboring kingdom. Over time, as each man dies and takes a portion of the moon with him, its light disrupts the peace, unsettling the natural order of the dead.
